Generator Assembly Technician
• Clean reusable parts to be reattached to generators after diagnostic step is completed • Assemble multiple generators using new and old parts following SOP’s using various hand tools and hydraulic tools • Review SOP’s and work with engineering team to keep them current and up to date • Cross train in other departments as needed • Follow SOP’s to ensure bolts/plates/parts are all reattached and torqued to spec • Follow all safety procedures and be a safety ambassador on the floor • Follow all directions given by department lead, floor supervisor, and members of management • Ensure that all parts needed to complete the assembly are delivered in full before work on the project begins (checking pick lists for accuracy). Communicate shortages with supervisor or management. • Operate forklift and overhead cranes as needed • Daily 5S tasks completed at end of shift or as assigned • Complete tasks efficiently • Pay high attention to details and quality standards • Perform other duties as assigned •
The position requires a high school diploma or GED. Experience performing mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment preferred
